I’m not a true engineer (qualified etc.), but I guess I’ve been doing engineering stuff since I was a kid, building lego etc. I used to make some really class boats, cars etc. using this stuff called techno. Once I made a replica of the Titanic, which had steam coming out of it’s funnels. I guess that was my first big engineering feat as a kid.

My background is in physics, and I do not have an engineering degree, but I carry out engineering everyday in the space sector. 🙂 🙂 🙂 What made me want to become an engineer in the space industry, was during my time I was on the construction team for I-LOFAR (Irish Low Frequency Array Radio Telescope). 🙂 🙂 🙂 I was fascinated with the idea that this telescope could be my eyes into the universe, looking tens of thousands of light years away!!!! 🙂 This is when I decided to carry out a masters degree in space science and technology so that I can make such amazing instruments (satellites and telescopes) to look into the universe. 🙂 🙂 🙂
