Hi everyone. Thank you all for a very enjoyable two weeks of I’m an Engineer.

I got involved with this event to (hopefully) show that engineering is an interesting and rewarding path to follow in life, that engineers have many different interests and ambitions, and that our inquisitive nature can help to improve the quality of human life and protect our home planet.

First off, I’d like to say thank you to the I’m an Engineer crew – for your support and for a very well organised event. Keep up the great work!

To all the other engineers, Sita, Rory, Hannah, Brian, and Alison – it has been a pleasure chatting with you all. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. Hopefully this is not the first and last time we’d be in contact!

And finally, to all the school students and teachers – thank you so much for posting your amazing questions in ASK and CHAT. I’m still thinking about many of them, and there were some that we could talk all day about! I encourage you to keep reading and discussing these ideas with your classmates, friends, and family. There is so much information available online and in your local libraries – use them!

Remember, it’s okay not to be sure what you want in life, but whatever you decide to do, make sure you give it your all! There were a lot of questions on what subjects are best to take for an engineering course, as well as on the availability of jobs after college. While these are very important things to consider, my advice is to focus on your understanding and enjoyment of the subjects. Good things will follow.

With that said, best of luck in your future endeavours, and thanks again for a wonderful event.

Stephen
